This past weekend I attended Dallas Comic Con Fan Days at the Irving Convention Center.Prior to the start of the conventions I noticed that they were hosting Sci-Fi Speed Dating. If you don't manage to register then, you used to be able to wait for summer when CCI would sell off all badges turned in for refunds - but there's been no resale the last 2 years and no guarantee it will be held again.
Destiny cruelly yanked me to New York, but I have started hunting for a Cape Cod beach house next summer for a combined Con-vacation.There seems to be a general mystery among the uninitiated as to how one "gets" to go to Comic Con. Glitches, heartbreak and sudden good fortune all prevail for different people in unpredictable ways. Then CCI (Comic Con International) hosts an online Pre-registration Day (usually for people who attended last summer) and then an Open Registration Day for anyone with a Member ID.Over the last few days, a rumor squiggled through the SDCC community: that Returning Registration would be held on September 30.It appears to be untrue, but it did get many people thinking about next year - often with a certain fatigue, since it feels like we just finished the gymkhana that is San Diego Comic-Con.
the 7-35 year old, blind and deaf audience would probably love this movie. Privileged children will think this is a cool movie.
