On my Win 7 Pro 64 bit computer Windows Updates ran fine and there are a couple more optional updates listed.I've installed the same updates previously to both computers.Select “Edit Group Policy.” Expand the tree to Local Computer Policy Windows Update and remove any configurations there, especially one for “Configure Automatic Updates.” A decent error message would have saved me many hours of frustration; I hope this article helps you to avoid that.Microsoft will ship Windows 10 later this year and with it comes an offer to upgrade existing versions of Windows to the operating system for free.I then turned off the power supply and waited a few and then powered back up and had to "Start Windows Normally". On my 32 bit, WU D/L'd both but KB3045645 failed to install so I hit the retry button and it installed. Seem's like I never know what to expect from WU's anymore, it's really getting hard to trust them with the job of updating. As it resolved itself pretty much straight away, it was probably a general connectivity issue and could even have been caused by our AV.I've found an online discussion that suggests that this has been happening because of increased load of Windows 10 distribution.Question: Why am I getting the error on my 32 bit computer? UPDATE: I just tried it again after posting this and it worked on the 32 bit.
So I tried the power button to turn it off and "nothing".I was stumped as to why the clients were not seeing the new updates that the WSUS server said were pending. In my case the proxy settings on Win HTTP were not correctly imported, and manually forcing the import fixed the issue. If they are installed, you can remove them from the system and block them from being installed again.Do the following to check if an update is installed: Obviously, only updates provided for the operating system may be installed.
While that may make sense, some users may not want to upgrade their system to Windows 10 after all.
